A Fox and his Gloves A3

£40.00
A Fox and his gloves is an oil pastel print based on the woodlands in the Scottish Highlands. In the height of summer, fox gloves tower up from the ground created swaths of colour in the lush forests of the Highlands. Foxgloves are profoundly tied to the realm of the Fae. Long ago people would strew foxglove leaves around the cradles of babies to protect them from evil spirits. Legends say that the speckled, bell-shaped flowers were worn by fairies as hats or gloves. Because the flowers were sacred to the Fae, picking them was believed to bring bad luck and misfortune. Print Only. Frame not Included.
